I collect more than that in pocket change.

Shahana This is Shahana. You have met her here before in another post. Since January of this year, Marcie and I have been sponsoring Shahana through Compassion International. I thought today would be a good day to reintroduce you to Shahana and to say that child sponsorship through Compassion International works. Just $38 per month can lift a child out of poverty and give them the opportunity to follow their dreams.

But don’t believe it just because I say so. Watch this short video of formerly sponsored child and Leadership Development Program graduate, Satish Kumar, as he shares about his childhood and what he has achieved with the help of his sponsors. Like Shahana, Satish is from southern India. For all I know, he may have attended the same center as Shahana does today.

Sponsoring a child through Compassion International is easy. Go online to Compassion.com, search for a child you would like to sponsor, and follow the prompts. You will receive a packet of information about your child and can begin writing to your sponsored child and developing a relationship that can help lift a child out of poverty, give them an education, health care, and nutritious food. For only $38 per month – less than the cost of a daily coffee house drink – you can sponsor a child through Compassion. Seriously, I collect more than that in pocket change every month.

Thank you for sponsoring a child.
