A better way to get energy

solar-panels-1

This month last year we decided to put an end to constant rate increases coming from our electric company. That company, Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E), happens to be one of the lowest rated companies by the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Can you believe it? The company that most people in northern California trust for their electrical power is rated “F,” as in failure, and yet people still go to them for electricity and gas.

Not only are they failing their customers, they regularly raise their rates, and right now they are asking for yet another rate increase.

Why do people put up with this?

Because, they have bought into the lie that they have no choice.

Well guess what? They do have a choice. And so do you.

You can choose a better way. A better company to supply your natural gas. A company that is rated A+ by the BBB. The BBB’s highest rating.

You can choose a better way. If you own your home, and your roof gets plenty of sun, you may qualify to go solar with a company that is rated A+ by the BBB. Did I mention A+ is their highest rating?

That’s exactly what we did. About a year and a half ago we switched our gas supplier to Ambit Energy. A year ago we went solar with our Ambit Energy solar partner, SunRun. Our utility bills have dropped dramatically while our usage habits have not changed.

Well, maybe they have changed a little. With solar, we don’t spend time thinking about whether or not we can afford to run the air conditioner in the summer heat. With natural gas from Ambit, we don’t think about turning up the heat when we get cold in winter. If we forget to turn a light off, no big deal. Don’t get me wrong. We are still energy aware, and we don’t use energy indiscriminately, we just don’t worry about it.

There is so much more I could tell you, but I’m not going to write it all out in a blog post. You can find out everything you want to know by simply asking me. Those who are seriously interested in knowing more can and will contact me for more information, or visit my Ambit Energy page. It doesn’t hurt to get more information. Maybe you are just curious about what Randy has gotten himself into this time. Just ask. You can even email me.

Thanks for reading, and a couple things you should know. 1) I am an Independent Consultant with Ambit Energy. 2) The image at the top of the page was not taken by me.

Why do you want to get away from your current energy provider? Leave a comment.
