This one gets the honor of being my Photo of the Day because it was recently licensed through my Adobe Stock account. It was made during a break in driving as we pulled over at a welcome center on the Georgia/South Carolina border. I don’t recall having ever seen tent caterpillars before, and I found them interesting so I made a few pictures.
I’m a photographer, and I don’t know a lot (anything actually) about tent caterpillars. If you are interested in finding out more about them I suggest doing an Internet search. What I can tell you is that they make decent photo subjects.
Before the pandemic I used to carry my camera with me almost all the time, not just on trips. This past year I have been out with my camera much less than normal. It has actually been refreshing and I think it will make my photography better going forward.
Just thinking out loud, but I do hope you enjoy the pictures and will come back often to see what I’m up to.

It has been nearly four years since I made this these photos. What I can tell you about them is that they were made at the South Carolina welcome center on Interstate 20 near Augusta, GA. Technically North Augusta, SC.
If you have interest in the technical info they were shot with a Canon EOS 60D using a 50mm, f/1.8 lens.
