On October 18, 2012, Bill Hicks passed away, not from any complications or result of Alzheimer's disease. He was a giving and humble man and the family has decided this was the best way to pay tribute to him, in lieu of flowers.
Bill was born in Texas on June 5, 1924. He met Elaine in 1944 and had their first date at the Rose Bowl, January 1, 1945. They were married in May 1945.
Bill was a Teacher, Coach and Athletic Director in Anaheim Union High School District at seven different schools, ending his career at Savanna High School as the head football coach.
Bill also worked at Disneyland in Anaheim from the first day it opened.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Elaine, his three daughters, Linda Brown, Debbie Hicks and Marcie Bayne, three grand-children, Adrienne Pressel Watroba, AF "Rick" Pressel III, Michael Turner, and five great grand-children.
