    • Watkinsville, GA - Thomas Zuber Veale, III, 56, of Watkinsville, GA, passed away March 19, 2010, surrounded by his beloved family and friends.

      He was born in Athens, GA, on January 19, 1954, the son of T.Z. Veale, Jr, and Kathryn Whitehead Veale.

      He attended Mercer University in Macon, GA, where he became a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity of the Alpha Zeta chapter. He transferred to the University of Georgia where, in 1977, he obtained a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

      In 1979 Tommy moved to Atlanta where he worked in sales for Tetley Tea, GPA/Paper Mate, Imprinted Products, and JiiPromotions/Lee Wayne Corporation.

      He was a lifetime member of the Watkinsville First United Methodist Church.

      He is survived by his wife, Mallary Willingham Veale, daughter Kathryn Mallary, and son Thomas (Mac) McClure Veale. He is further survived by mother Kathryn Whitehead Veale, siblings Scott (Beverly) of Athens, GA, Susan (Randy) Wilkes of Watkinsville, GA, Kelly (Sheri) of Bishop, GA, Wally of New York, NY, niece Brittany Wilkes and nephew Chad Wilkes.

      He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Zuber Veale, Jr.

      In lieu of flowers please make any donations to Jack and Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation, American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Nashville, TN or Watkinsville First United Methodist Church, Watkinsville, GA.

      The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the support, love and compassion of the Northeast Georgia Cancer Care and the staff at St. Mary's Hospice House.

      A memorial visitation will be held at Lord and Stephens West Chapel, Bogart on Sunday, March 21st, 6:00 - 8:00pm. A memorial service will be held at Watkinsville First United Methodist Church on Monday, March 22nd, 11:00am.
